Inspiration is when a brother reaches out to help the neighbour across the street because he has run out of milk for his children. When a sister reaches out and helps the neighbour call for police because she knows her neighbour is being robbed and refuses to turn a blind eye. When a piece of paper is falling along the pavement outside your house and you pick it up to put it in the garbage bin or trash can. TIGed provided my students and I with the virtual classroom tools and resources that we needed to link to students from another side of the world. My students look forward to using TIG and other websites to learn more about the reality of life in different corners of the world: they realize that even though we live in a diverse world, there are ways for us to understand and respect each other. What inspires me most is seeing young people engage themselves in activities which are channeled towards the development of self and the community. I feel inspired when I see young people build up values for themselves.
